Clergy Managed Care Plan (CMCP)

We have made several plan enhancements for 2008.  The most important is not a change to the plan design, but one that impacts the claims administration.

Anthem will utilize the Lumenos claim processing platform for 2008. This means claims will not have to be sent from Anthem to an outside entity for payment processing. Payments will be made in the same manner that the Anthem PPO and HMO plans work.  Therefore, payments to the provider will be completed in a more timely fashion.  Also, if you have a prescription, it will process your claim in real time – you will not have to pay first and then request reimbursement.  If, however, you used up your Health Reimbursement Account (HRA), you will be responsible for the payment.

For those of you participating in the CMCP for 2007, remember your HRA year-end balance will roll into the next year and be added to your 2008 HRA credit balance.

Other CMCP Changes

·      A smoking cessation program has been added which includes personal coaching and covers certain over-the-counter products to help a person quit smoking.

·      Outpatient mental health coverage has been expanded from 90 calendar year visits to unlimited.

·      You must utilize an Anthem Blue View Vision provider for your eye appointment. You can visit the Anthem web site to find a provider convenient to your home of office.

For more information on Lumenos, go to the Anthem website at www.Anthem.com.
